We rode the Norrona, a cruise-ship / ferry with a max capacity of 1500 passengers to the Faroe Islands. However, since it was January, there were only about 40 people onboard, crew included. Additonally, we didn't realize that there was a hurricane moving through the ships path at that time. We were able to explore endless empty hallways, dine alone in a luxury on-ship restaurant, and watch from the observation deck as the ship pitched wildly on stormy seas.
And stormy it was! Chairs and tables toppled, glasses shattered, the horizon bucked wildly all across the viewing platforms and water streaked the deck of the ship. We, being who we are, decided that it would be the perfect time to make use of the ships on-board hot tubs. Hot tubs located on the top deck of the ship. At 11pm, in pitch black, during a hurricane. And Decker, as is expected, forgot to bring any swim-wear, necessitating him walking naked across the deck of the ship and "Waggin' dong at the hurricane" as he so proudly puts it. Everytime the ship would rock and roll on a massive storm swell the water would fly out of the hottub and over the side of the ship into the icy water below, we would hold on until the deck was level again and the tub would refill with fresh steaming water. Absolutely a night to remember!
Yes we did!
